Linking

Connect your notes with wiki links and @ references.

Linking

noetect supports wiki-style links and @ references to keep your knowledge connected.

Wiki Links

Link to other notes using double brackets:

See [[My Other Note]] for more details.

Creating Links

  • Type [[ to open the link picker
  • Start typing to search for notes
  • Press Enter to insert the link
  • If the note doesn't exist, it will be created when you click the link

Link Aliases

You can display different text than the note title:

Check out [[My Other Note|this related idea]] for more.

This displays as "this related idea" but links to "My Other Note".

@ References in Chat

When chatting with Claude, use @ to reference files:

@claude Can you summarize @meeting-notes.md?

Claude will read the referenced file and include it in the context.

Multiple References

You can reference multiple files:

@claude Compare @project-a.md and @project-b.md

Backlinks

noetect automatically tracks backlinks — notes that link to the current note. View them in the sidebar under Backlinks.

Block References

Reference specific sections of a note:

See [[My Note#Section Title]] for the details.

This links directly to the "Section Title" heading in "My Note".
